Cast House Masses
Blast Furnace Tap Hole Mass is a prepared, ready to use Refractory Product, made of a bond of aggregates, additives, and plasticizers. It is used to close the tap hole of a blast furnace after tapping so that no material can leak out, and to keep it plugged until the tap hole is opened for next tapping.
It is applied to ensure periodical and stable tapping from the blast furnace and also to protect the inner surface of tap hole bricks.
We manufacture a complete range of Tap Hole Mass to meet the increasing demands of a wide range of Tap Hole Mass for Blast Furnaces and Corex units. The Unique Characteristics are:
o Good work-ability to facilitate extrusion
o Consistency of structure to prevent oozing out of nose of the gun
o Controlled coking-out time to ensure adequate strength of extruded material
o Lower volatile to minimize fumes evaluation and quick setting
o Good resistance to oxidation, metal and slag attack
o Ease of drilling at the time of Tap Hole opening
o Reasonably high shelf life
Runner Mass | Trough Mass
Runner Mass / Trough Mass repair castables is a kind of unshaped refractory made of granular and powdery material, in which add a certain amount of binder and water together. It has high mobility, is suitable for casting construction, and can be hardened without heating.
We manufacture improved range of Tar and Resin Bonded Trough / Runner mass to meet the demanding service requirements of today’s Indian Blast Furnaces. The Properties are:
o Erosion resistance from Iron and Slag
o Low porosity to resist metal penetration
o Thermal stability and shock resistance
o Structural integrity
o Non sticking properties with metal slag
